Day Activity & Health Services (DAHS)

What are Day Activity and Health Services?

Licensed Day Activity and Health Services facilities provide daytime services, up to 10 hours per day, Monday through Friday, to people who live in the community. Services address physical, mental, medical and social needs.

What is a DAHS Facility?

DAHS are facilities that provide services under a day activity and health services program on a daily and regular basis, but not overnight, to four or more elderly people or people with disabilities who are not related by blood, marriage or adoption to the owner of the facility. A DAHS facility is formerly known as an adult day care center.
